Indonesian people are known for their hospitality and their love of art, dance, and music. They are often very friendly and polite to tourists. When visiting Indonesia, tourists may commonly see an instrument called an anklong. This instrument is made of bamboo pipes that are mounted on a frame. Visitors may observe anklong players skillfully rattling their instruments to produce melodious sounds.

A typical Indonesian meal usually includes a spicy dish served with rice and fruit. Families often eat together while sitting on a wooden mat and use their hands to dip food into rice. Most Indonesian people say that eating their food in this manner brings out the flavor and makes it taste better.
